Work at work. Home is home.

I have been dreaming of teaching in a well-established university and be called a professor. That was before. Now that I am working as a Lesson Developer in an Online English Tutorial Company, I change my old-time dream. I realize that if I become a professor, home is still my office. I will still work at home. No! I don't like that. How can I rest and have time with my family?

My mother is an elementary teacher. And, I remembered when I was still at my elementary years, I admired my mother so much that I wished to be like her someday. Teach in the school and make many youngsters inspired by me like what my mother did to me. However, now that I see a lot of jobs to work on, teaching becomes my least choice. I said, "Oops, wait, being a teacher makes me work at home."

Working will become boring, as I attest it. On my first day of work, I was energetic and enthusiastic in accomplishing my work. But now, how I wish that every day is Friday. How much more if every day I have to bring my work at home 'cause I have to prepare for tomorrow's lesson. This is too much. That's my own opinion.

Bringing your work at home would give friction to you and to your family. I remember again my mother. I and my sister were the ones who always helped our mom. We slept late just to finish the requirements and the materials she needed for school. The two of us together with our mom sacrificed the call of bedtime and suffered by having eye bags just to have our mom a lesson for the coming days.

It depends still on your choice. If you want to let go the comfort of sleeping on time. If you want to give up the little time to have fun with your family. Bring your work home. But as I said, don't. Time is so precious that when gone, it will never be replaced.
